Step 1 — Have a product ready in your Shopify store

If you are just getting started, add at least one product in your Shopify admin first — here is Shopify’s guide to adding products. Already selling? Your existing products will work.

Step 2 — Connect your store from the dashboard

Head over to your 3D Vikings dashboard and click the Connect Shopify badge. Enter your store handle — the part before .myshopify.com — and you will be redirected to Shopify to authorize the 3D Vikings app. Grant access, and you will land back on your dashboard with your store connected.

Step 3 — Sync your products

Open the Product Listings tab and click Sync Shopify — your products will be imported into 3D Vikings. Have products you fulfill yourself or through another service? Just ignore them; we only fulfill the ones you set up with us.

Step 4 — Add your 3D model and print settings

For each imported product, add your 3D model and choose the material, color, and infill percentage, plus any special instructions for printing. Submit it for review and we will analyze the model and send you a quote. Happy with the price? Accept it — from that moment, every new order for that product is automatically sent to us for fulfillment.

How pricing works

You only pay when an actual order comes in — no monthly fees, no upfront costs. Your customer pays you the retail price through your store’s checkout; we charge you a set amount for printing and shipping. Whatever is left over is your profit.

You can connect both stores to the same 3D Vikings account — orders from both platforms appear in one place. Read the Etsy connection guide. More marketplaces are coming soon.

Each order is accompanied by a packing slip that contains information about the order.

For automatic orders that come from e-commerce platforms such as Etsy, a packing slip contains your billing information, a list of products that are placed in a shipment and the retail price of each product. The retail price is the price you charge your customer.

The only difference in the manual order packing slip is that the included products show the price you pay to the 3D Vikings for the 3D print service.

Specification

• Maximum color count – 4.
• Minimum order – 100 boxes.
• The lead time is 10 working days from the date of approval of the design.
• Prices are for one design in one place. For a print in two places with a 2-color printing (2 + 2) price of 4 colors is applied.
• The table below shows prices for printing up to 300cm2 (A5 page size). The print size is calculated by the total length and width of the design. If you want to cover a larger part of the box please contact us and we will provide you with a custom quote.

Prices

You can make your orders even more personalized by adding a custom, branded pack-in, like a flyer, business card, or sticker. Simply mail us your pack-ins for storage, and we’ll add them to each and every one of your orders.

We have multiple colors available for each material and for you to be able to offer these colors to your Etsy shop customers you have to use what’s called Etsy listing variations. It’s a setting on Etsy which allows you to add different options for the same listing. More on how to do that here.

Why linking is necessary?

Because you can come up with some creative names like Explosive Red, Scuba Blue, Glacier Gray, etc. you have to link these colors to the ones we offer so that when an order comes in we automatically know which color to use for your order.

How to link

Before you can link colors on 3D Vikings dashboard you have to add them to your Etsy listing, more about how to do that here. Once you have done that go ahead and edit the corresponding listing on your 3D Vikings dashboard and choose the colors you want to offer to your customers. Select colors that most resembles your color names and bellow a new section will appear. Once you have linked all the colors and everything else looks great you can submit the listing to get a quote.

If you are placing a manual order with us you simply pay when we have confirmed that the model can be printed and you are happy with the price. If you have already paid and we determine that we cannot manufacture an item in your order we will issue you a refund.

Orders from connected store

In the case of a connected store, the order is sent to 3D Vikings once the customer has paid you using your store’s payment platform. We will notify you once such order comes in and ask to confirm and pay for the fulfillment of that order.

What are the available payment options?

At the moment we only accept PayPal. Please refer to PayPal for payment limits, countries that accept PayPal, disputes, and other terms.

What happens if we can’t manufacture your product?

Given the complex nature of converting digital files into physical products, every now and then we catch designs that are too fragile to create.

If at any point we determine that we cannot manufacture an item in your order, you will not have to pay for it. If we have not yet processed your payment, you will not be charged for the item. If we have already processed your payment, we will issue you a refund.

Refunds for PayPal payments are issued in the original form of payment and will reflect the amount paid. It may take 3-7 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

Businesses in certain countries may be required by their local tax authorities to register for a VAT ID if they reach their local country threshold. However, in some countries, you may also register for VAT even if you have not reached the threshold.

If you are a VAT registered business, you may be required to charge VAT on the items that you sell on the Etsy platform but unfortunately, Etsy doesn’t allow businesses to charge VAT based on their buyer’s location. So what can you do? There are a few options:

• Raise your prices to include VAT.
• If you don’t have many EU customers, you may consider covering VAT out of pocket.
• Open a separate store for EU customers to include VAT.
